Pickit 2 (clone)
Omitting few components and changing position on couple passive components it can be configured as lite version no voltage generation or detection or programmer on the go option. A 6mm smaller lite version is available.
Software
The programmer will need to have firmware
programmed into the PIC18F2550 before you can do any thing with it.
Unfortunately its catch 22 as you will need a programmer of sort to get the
controller programmed first.
