To build up on the
original trim light, the
2812 version replaces
LED bar with addressable
30 dot WS2812 or
optionally SK6812 led
chips. This allows for
RGB colors and different
white/amber color
temperature options. It
also upgrades to more
power full
microcontroller and
adds options for CAN
bus.
As the complexity and
part count is
dramatically decreased,
manufacturing and cost
had been reduced.
As the original version,
it is still made of 2
boards one being the
controller it self and
the other being the
LED board which can
also be used as stand
alone bar. Assembly of
the boards allows for
perfect center location
in the housing case with
excellent mounting and
vibration immunity.
The controller still
accepts normal +12
control signals for
marker turn and blank
signals. When using and
controlling through CAN
option Left or Right
option selection had
been added as to
differentiate with
corner its mounted in.
