Sprinkler Controller 3.2 AC
|
- This is a re-design
of OpenSprinkler
3.2 with is wireless
version in nature and
option for wired
connection onto single
board rather then 2 as
the original was
designed. There are few
reasons for this that we
will go into later on.
However we are using all
SMD devices there was
some issues with drive
components that would
make the board larger
then necessary and we
tried to avoid that. So
its only capable of
driving AC valves.
The design incorporates
ESP8266 controller and
CH340G/C USB to serial
converter. Power from
USB port is sufficient
to power the processor
and associate circuitry
however there is not
sufficient current to
drive the valves so
please provide
sufficient power through
the terminal
connection..
Primary power circuit
was redesigned and now
is using AP1509 buck
regulator. Secondly as
the ESp has much less
pins, decoder circuit
has been changed to use
PCA9555 controller along
with LCD wich both
use I2C bus thus are
capable of much easier
expansion.
With this new design,
port expansion is not
supported as expansion
interface had been
changed and you will
need to use new
expansion module
Introducing a dual
AC / DC version
of the controller
capable of driving AC or
DC valves with the
addition of the voltage
booster board
borrowed from
OS 2.3 version and
adds barrow connector
for DC version.
Output driving triacs
will need to be replaced
with NPN BJT transistor
(like 2n2222) for
the DC version
Limitation of the board
is that can only be
configured for AC or DC
not a mix version.
