• The board came about as of need for large serial 7 segment LED display and is based on Sparkfun design with larger 1.8" 7 segment LED display modules. Original I2C, serial  and SPI ports are wired to a break out connectors for easy expansion and hookup to driving controllers.
  
  To make the board more usable and for reason it was build,  number of extra headers are on the board for plug in components like ESP-01 and/or ESPNode (ESP-12) WiFi modules for connectivity to internet. DHT and serial port for GPS module.
   

  Smaller versions of the board as per original design are with 0.56" and 0.8"

  
   

  
  
  Software / Firmware
  As the board in essence is a module with ATmega328 it requires firmware to run it as per original design can be found at Sparkfun Github repository.
  Optionally the firmware can be modified to build a custom application.
